$100,000 IRISH O’BRIEN STAKES QUOTES 2025

JOCKEY QUOTES

ARMANDO AYUSO, PRANCINGTHRUPARIS, WINNER: “She broke sharp. She broke the best in the race. I knew there was a lot of speed inside me, so I just I just took a hold a little bit. She was doing really good. Before we got to the dirt I had a lot of filly, so I stepped to the outside. As soon as she went outside she started running.”

OWNER QUOTES

JOE CIAGLIA, PART OWNER, PRANCINGTHRUPARIS, WINNER: “It was amazing. The jockey did a really great job. Last time we got an easy lead at a mile going wire to wire. He broke great and was smart to settle, so she showed a little bit of versatility there. But I was super excited. I mean, two times in a row, being at crazy odds, it is unexpected. It is great to breed Cal-breds. This horse is a really nice horse. “Her mom (She’s a Big Winner) was a little bit crazy. The first time she went to the track she kicked (Kent) Desormeaux in the chest, so we had to scratch and he had a big hoof print on him. “It was nice that we bred her to Sir Prancealot to get more relaxed and add a little more tempo in her because she was a little bit of a speed ball. It is exciting to make the right choice, and it is just good to be here.”

NOTES: The winning trainer is Peter Eurton, who was not at Santa Anita Sunday. The winning owners/breeders are Ciaglia Racing LLC, SAF Racing and Harry A.Crusberg.
