$ 125,000 SUNSHINE MILLIONS FILLY & MARE TURF SPRINT QUOTES

JOCKEY QUOTES

ANTONIO FRESU, SHOCKING GREY, WINNER: “You know, I've never sat on the filly before, but I listened to the trainer, Jeff Mullins. He did a very good job to bring her in perfect form. He just told me the key with this field was just to get her out to the outside, and let her be free. I wasn't expecting that she’d jump so quick, because usually she's always at the back of the field, even over a mile, mile and sixteenth. So today, I tried to give her a very good warm up and she broke well. She traveled really well through the race and I had the favorite right in front of me, so everything was coming easy. When she crossed the dirt, she switched her lead, and she was loaded. I just sent her away. Jeff was right to keep her outside. She proved to have talent and to be free and she won pretty easy.”

TRAINER QUOTES

JEFF MULLINS, SHOCKING GREY, WINNER: “I don’t think it had anything to do with the hill, it was just the jockey did what I told him to, which was to stay on the outside. Last few times, she was stuck on the rail.”

OWNER QUOTES

ALEXIS MOSELEY, DAUGHTER OF DON VALPREDO, SHOCKING GREY, WINNER: “We were here every morning and we would go to the barns and see the jockeys and the horses and we would be in the Winner’s Circle by the end of the day. It is such an honor to be representing today and have two wins in our pocket.”

NOTES: The winning owner/breeder is the late Don Valpredo/Valpredo Family Trust.
