40TH RUNNING OF THE BREEDERS’ CUP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS NOV. 3 & 4 TO HIGHLIGHT MEET

ARCADIA, CA (Sept. 26, 2023)—Santa Anita’s 19-day Autumn Meet will get underway on Friday, with first post time for a nine-race card at 1 p.m. and the track will also offer free admission and parking along with $3 beers and $5 margaritas. The Autumn Meet will be highlighted by the 40th running of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Nov. 3 & 4 as Santa Anita will host the equivalent of racing’s Super Bowl for a record 11th time.

The Grade III, $100,000 Chillingworth Stakes, for fillies and mares three and up at 6 ½ furlongs, will serve as Friday’s main event and will keynote a total of nine stakes over opening weekend—most of which have Breeders’ Cup implications.
