GRADE III, $100,000 ROBERT FRANKEL STAKES QUOTES

JOCKEY QUOTES

ANTONIO FRESU, ANGEL NADESHIKO, WINNER: “I listened to Paddy’s (Gallagher) instructions. He told me to put her on the lead, she used to run really well when she was in front before. There was no other pace other than me, so I just took an easy lead and I tried to do my job. Obviously, Paddy brought her in in good shape, it was a well deserved win for him.”

TRAINER QUOTES

PATRICK GALLAGHER, ANGEL NADESHIKO, WINNER: “We have experimented with her before, taking her back and see if it would change it up and I have been lucky enough to have jocks on that would try to experiment and see what she liked. We decided today to go ahead, and they left her alone long enough, so we are very happy.”

__PRESENTER QUOTES __

UMBERTO ASCANIO, LONGTIME ASSISTANT TO ROBERT FRANKEL, PRESENTER: “This is unbelievable, I am just happy to be able to celebrate Frankel’s race. I knew (Patrick Gallagher) was going to win, he knows what to do with the horse, he is a legend.”

NOTES: The winning owner is U.S. Equine.
