DOUBLE CARRYOVER OF $104,929 IN $1 SUPER HIGH 5 AWAITS HORSEPLAYERS ON 9-RACE CARD FRIDAY AT SANTA ANITA

The Super High 5 will be offered on the ninth and final race at 5:01 p.m. PT

ARCADIA, CA (Oct. 2, 2025)— A rare double carryover in the $1 Super High 5 of $104,929 awaits horseplayers on a nine-race card Friday at Santa Anita. The Super High 5 carryover will be up for grabs in the ninth and final race at approximately 5:01 p.m. PT.

The Super High 5 requires bettors to select the top five finishers in exact order. In this past Sunday’s 10th and final race, the Super High 5 managed to elude bettors for the second day in a row. On Sunday, there was a logical winner in #2 Slick, the 5-2 second choice who won and paid $7.80. It was all longshots after that. Completing the Super High 5 order of finish were #1 Edge of Mali (9-1), #7 Resolve (47-1), #3 Cat The Confidante (26-1) and #11 Hey Little Lady (58-1).

Friday’s ninth race is an allowance/optional claimer for statebred fillies and mares at one mile on turf. It has a field of nine entered with two also-eligibles. Leading the field is 9-5 program favorite Runamileinmyshoes for trainer Jeff Mullins and owner Red Baron’s Barn and Rancho Temescal. The 4-year-old filly by Street Boss will have top Santa Anita jockey Juan Hernandez in the irons.

First post Friday is 1 p.m. Every Friday at the Autumn Meet. Santa Anita offers free parking and admission plus an all-day Happy Hour with half-off select beers and cocktails. Also starting on Friday, 1/ST Rewards members who wager at least $100 on Santa Anita races thru their 1/ST Rewards card, 1/ST BET, or Xpressbet accounts, will receive a free Santa Anita cooler backpack while supplies last.
