DESERT STORMER STAKES QUOTES

$100,000 DESERT STORMER STAKES QUOTES

JOCKEY QUOTES

HECTOR I. BERRIOS, SUPER SHINE, WINNER: “Last year, I remember she would break and then veer out. She did it two times. Now, she was much more focused. “When I got to the lead comfortably, I thought right then, she’s winning.”

TRAINER QUOTES

PHIL D’AMATO, SUPER SHINE, WINNER: “We were originally putting her in here to just kind of give her a race and get her ready for Del Mar. I’ve got to give credit to my crew at Los Alamitos…they all work really hard and did a lot of gate work with her. In her last two races she lost the race because she didn’t break very well. She broke right on top today and didn’t look back. She is a nice quality filly and hopefully we will have some fun with her the rest of the year.”

NOTES: The winning owner is R Unicorn Stable.
