2025 SIREN LURE STAKES QUOTES

JOCKEY QUOTES

GEOVANNI FRANCO, LOVESICK BLUES, WINNER: “The horse was very cooperative and competitive today. He was smooth, he was relaxed. When I needed him to run, he responded very well.”

TRAINER QUOTES

LIBRADO BAROCIO, LOVESICK BLUES, WINNER: “I knew he was getting better and better. He came off that layoff and he ran a great race. Last time out he ran a great race against good horses. I had a lot of confidence today. I felt good about him today. I just want to thank the great God up above and Nick Alexander, he is such a great breeder and for allowing me to buy this horse from him, I am just thankful. “He is a little tough to handle if you don’t know him, but he knows he is the best horse and he struts like that. With the way he looked today, I had a feeling that he was doing too good today, like he was going to run a big one, and Geovanni Franco gave him a great ride. I got a little nervous when I saw the favorite, Bran, was up there. Geovanni was just patient and when he turned for home, I knew he was going to close so I was confident, praying hard and it happened.”

NOTES: The winning owner is Mia Familia Racing Stable.
