Exercise rider Adrian Valenzuela sustained a spinal-cord injury in an accident during morning workouts on March 31, 2018. Adrian is just 21 years old and was attending Pasadena City College in the afternoons after riding and working in the mornings for his father, Martin, and freelancing as well.

The pancake breakfast held on April 19, 2018, at Clockers’ Corner was a huge success but it’s not over yet! See the silent auction items below to and make a bid on one of nine fantastic offerings through April 22, 2018, at 5 p.m. when bidding will close.

Some items donated to the Racing Office will be placed on eBay to secure the best opportunity for highest bidding (for 100% of proceeds going to family) and will include Candy Ride Halter, Lava Man “Coach” saddle towel, Nyquist Halter, “Three for the Ages” Triple Crown trio print by Tony Leonard and more. Auction Item #1 – Angels Dugout Suite. Dugout Suite #8 at Angels Stadium on June 24, 2018, for the 1:07 p.m. game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Auction Item #4 – American Pharoah Memorabilia. 2015 Triple Crown Winner and Horse of the Year American Pharoah package, complete with a halter, Triple Crown print signed by Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert, portrait, and $2 win ticket from Haskell Invitational. Only the 12th horse in history to accomplish the feat, American Pharoah solidified his greatness by going on to be the first ever horse to complete a Grand Slam, winning the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Classic in impressive fashion before being retired to Ashford Stud in Versailles, KY. A “VIP Day at the Races” package, valued at $2,000, will include private finish line seating for eight (8) guests in the Directors’ Room (a private dining room located on the 5th floor of the Club House), Turf Club Admission, complimentary valet parking passes and hosted food and beverage during the 2018 Summer Meeting (July 18 – September 3.) Auction Item #7 – Triple “GGG” Boxing Gloves. A pair of pristine gloves signed by International Boxing Organization Champion Middleweight Title holder, Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin are valued at $600. “Triple G,” or “GGG” as he is better known was on-hand April 7 to present the trophy in the Grade I, $1,000,000 Santa Anita Derby and was also the proud owner of winning tickets in the same race. “Triple G” currently holds the International Boxing Organization World Middleweight Title, the World Boxing Association Super World Middleweight Title, the World Boxing Council World Middleweight Title, and the International Boxing Federation World Middleweight Title. Courtesy of Santa Anita Park. Bidding will begin at $250. Current bid – $600 (Juan Estrada)  

 

Auction Item #8 – Breeding to Surf Cat. A breeding to California-based stallion Surf Cat (2002), who stands at Old English Rancho in Sanger, CA. Owned and trained by Bruce Headley, Surf Cat is a Multiple Graded Stakes Winner by Sir Cat out of the Centrust mare, Trust Greta. This dark bay or brown horse entered stud in 2009. Auction Item #9 – Breeding to Cyclotron. A breeding to California-based stallion, Cycltron (2000), who stands at Old English Rancho in Sanger, CA. Owned and trained by Bruce Headley, Cyclotron is a chestnut horse by Grand Slam, out of the Clever Trick mare, Eliot Chacer. Cyclotron entered stud in 2007.
