TWO-DAY SANTA ANITA PICK SIX CARRYOVER OF $145,375 INTO SATURDAY; WITH 10 RACES, TOTAL PICK SIX POOL EXPECTED TO EXCEED $750,000

 

SINGLE TICKET JACKPOT CARRYOVER OF $31,151 INTO SATURDAY AS WELL

 

ARCADIA, Calif. (March 2, 2108)–There is a two-day Pick Six carryover of $145,375 into Saturday at Santa Anita and track officials project Saturday’s total Pick Six pool will exceed $750,000.

With a modest carryover of $38,100 coming into Friday, $200,799 in “new” money was wagered today, creating a total Pick Six pool of $238,899.

With a 10-race card on tap, the Pick Six will be comprised of races five through 10.  With rain again in the forecast for Saturday, an announcement on the status of turf racing will be made tomorrow morning.  Saturday’s eighth race, scheduled at 6 ½ furlongs down the hillside turf course, is the only grass race currently in the Pick Six sequence.

With Bob Baffert’s undefeated Dream Tree installed as the 6-5 morning line favorite, the Grade III, $100,000 Santa Ysabel, for 3-year-old fillies at a mile and one sixteenth, is Saturday’s main event and it’s been carded as the sixth race.

Approximate post time for Saturday’s fifth race is at 2:30 p.m. PT.
