ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2016)–Santa Anita’s exclusive Chandelier Room, an iconic entertainment destination since 1934, will again play host to the track’s Guest Chef Series, featuring an innovative dining experience uniquely steeped in Los Angeles culture, live music, ready access to world class Thoroughbred racing and more, beginning Saturday, Oct. 1, which is also Breeders’ Cup Preview Day at The Great Race Place.
With five Grade I, Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win and You’re In” stakes highlighting a blockbuster program on Oct. 1, the popular Guest Chef Series event will also provide attendees with a catered menu designed by Chef Timothy Hollingsworth from one of LA’s hottest restaurants, Otium. Also included are wine tastings, entrance to the Chandelier Room, access to “The Balcony” for optimal race viewing, a racing program and tip sheet–all for just $85.
The Chandelier Room, which underwent a multi-million dollar renovation two years ago, now provides attendees with spectacular, unobstructed views of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains, Santa Anita main track and turf course, as well as a terrific view of the horses as they exit the Seabiscuit Walking Ring and make their way to the main track.
The site of dozens of movie and television shoots over the course of more than eight decades, the Chandelier Room provides a luxurious setting in which guests can experience LA’s innovative dining culture combined with the timeless tradition of Thoroughbred racing that is uniquely “Santa Anita.”
