ARCADIA, Calif. (May 4, 2017)–With appropriately named Kona Dreams breaking his maiden at odds of 4-5 in the eighth and final race at Santa Anita on Thursday, dreams were indeed made for one very lucky fan.

Santa Anita’s popular Single Ticket Jackpot Pick Six, with a total pool of $487,863.92, was hit. One winning ticket was thus worth $439,362.20. There were 24 consolation tickets that each paid $658.40.

The winning ticket was purchased through Elite Turf Club’s Maryland-based hub as part of a $5,300 play.

Kona Dreams, a 3-year-old gelding trained by George Papaprodromou, owned by Kretz Racing and ridden by Rafael Bejarano paid $3.80, $3.00 and $2.40.
