TIAGO PERIERA, LAW ABIDIN CITIZEN, WINNER: “I was supposed to be sitting a little closer to the pace, closer to Conquest Tsunami, but my horse broke a little slow. The three horses went fast up front. This made it easier for my horse to relax the first part and once we hit the dirt my horse took off.”
MARK GLATT, LAW ABIDIN CITIZEN, WINNER: “I thought we’d be sitting second behind the one horse (Conquest Tsunami) down the hillside and it would come down to the two of us, but a couple of others decided to go and when my horse didn’t break that sharply, it set up perfect for him. He’s very good down this course (four wins from seven starts). He’s been just a cut below some of these horses in the past, but we were kind of able to turn the tables today.”
