Jeff Sotman outlasts the field in the Sirona's Handicapping Contest Finals. Jeff not only wins $5,000 for first place, but also a spot in the 2009 DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas.

Not only did Joe Scardino, left, hold the lone winning Pick 6 ticket at Santa Anita Park on Thursday, April 10, 2008 for a cool $105,208, the Southern California horse owner also won a brand-new Chevy Corvette and was presented the keys by track general manager George Haines. The historic Arcadia track, in conjunction with Sierra Auto Group of Monrovia sponsored the contest offering the Corvette, valued at $58,185, to a single Pick 6 winner who had purchased the ticket on-track at Santa Anita.

Not only did James Micheil hold the lone winning Pick 6 ticket at Santa Anita Park on Monday, March 24, 2008 for a cool $131,295, the 43-year-old Duarte (CA) resident also won a brand-new Chevy Corvette. The historic Arcadia, CA track, in conjunction with Sierra Auto Group of Monrovia, has offered an all-new Corvette to any single Pick Six winner who purchased the ticket on-track throughout it's winter/spring meeting, which began Dec. 26.

This is a full buy-in, pay to play qualifying
tournament to the DRF/NTRA National
Championship in January, 2009 with real
money wagered over a two day period on
Santa Anita races only. All tournament players
must wager a total of $5,000 real money
over the two day tournament period, with
a minimum of $2,000 wagered on Saturday (minimum
$250 per race on at least 8 races) and at least $3,000 on
Sunday (minumum $500 per race on at least 6 races).
No maximums apply. Players may wager as much as they
want, including winnings from their original bankroll. Total
winnings will be the determing factor in awarding the fi rst
place prize as well as the fi ve DRF/NTRA qualifying spots.
Any remaining balance at the conclusion of the tournament
is the property of the player. Permitted tournament wagers
are win, place, show, exacta and trifecta. Superfecta and
any multiple race wagers will NOT be allowed.
There is no entry fee to participate in the tournament.
However, a non-refundable check for $1,000 is required
to confi rm a spot in the tournament. The $1,000 deposit
is part of the player bankroll. The remainder of the $5,000
player bankroll is due by March 1, 2008. The tournament is
limited to 100 players. The fi rst 100 deposit checks received
will determine who plays in the tournament. One entry per
person.

2008 Daily Racing Form Handicapping Challenge Contest
DRF and Santa Anita team up again for the $10,000 Daily Racing Form Handicapping Challenge on President's Day weekend, February 16, 17 and 18. You'll get three shots at picking the winner of the stakes races on each day - the San Carlos Handicap on Saturday, the Daytona Handicap on Sunday or the Buena Vista Handicap on Monday. Pick the winner on ANY one day and you'll be invited back with free admission to round two on March 8.

Fill out a contest card when you enter the gates on St. Patrick's Day for a chance to win $1 Million. 20 Names will be drawn and the 5 entrants whose names are drawn highest and who are present and properly identified at the St. Pat's Identification Center located in the East Paddock Gardens will qualify to pitch one horseshoe. Ring the horseshoe, win $1 Million, come 10 feet or closer to a ringer and win $1,000. If none of the contestants pitches a ringer, the closest contestant will win $5,000.
