MARTIN GARCIA, ENCHANTING LADY, WINNER: “Her last time out, it was too short for her. I had the outside post in here so I could do what I wanted and pick the best position for her. I just started chasing the filly on the lead and when I asked her, she just took off. She’s a really good filly. She got beat by (Seduire) last time out. Seduire is quicker but my filly wants to go longer. I always work her in the mornings, too, so I know her well.”
COREY NAKATANI, SEDUIRE, SECOND: “We just got outrun by a better filly today. She was a little green changing leads. She’ll improve off this.”
BOB BAFFERT, ENCHANTING LADY, WINNER: “I was surprised she got beat the first time out (when she was the 2-5 favorite). I thought, ‘That must be a really good filly of Jerry’s, because she’s fast (referring to Seduire, trained by Jerry Hollendorfer).
“But her last race really woke her up and she’s been training really well. She was pretty sharp. She ran like I thought. You’re always hoping they do something like that.”
JERRY HOLLENDORFER, SEDUIRE, SECOND: “It was the plan to have her go to the lead. I’m not sure if added distance will help her. I don’t have a race picked out for her next start yet.”
