The Sunday opener probably is best left alone but somebody has to win it and it might as well be a fresh face. J J Be Chillin hails from a barn that generally does very well with debut runners and the works look fairly solid. He lands the comfortable outside post and should have every chance to win at first asking. Let’s make him a straight play and rolling exotic single but only for a minimum investment.
In the Saturday opener, Prettypricegirl drops to the bottom, adds blinkers, has a good recent work over the track and switches to Gomez. In a very weak affair she seems like a logical rolling exotic single and likely will go lower than her morning line odds of 2-1.
There’s little to trust in the Thursday opener, so the best advice is to tread lightly. Donato is a first-off-the-claim for Miller and could improve after dropping a notch and returning after a month’s rest. He’s always liked this track and can be expected to rebound. Anaaba Premium handled Donato fairly convincingly when they met across town last month and is back to reality today after being overmatched vs. $20,000 foes here on New Year’s Day. Both are capable of winning in this league if they’re feeling up to it, so we’ll use both in our rolling exotics.
