The Thursday program begins with an uninspiring early daily double, but picks up some steam later on.
In the opener, Bipartism clearly offers no value in the straight pool at even money on the morning line. However, the Hendricks-trained gelding drops to the bottom maiden claiming level while adding blinkers for the first time and has a few back numbers that would easily handle this field. He looks like the winner by default, but there are better opportunities later.
As this is written, we’re expecting the main track to be in an “off condition” for the Sunday program.
Black Witch is improving with race and looks ready to win the opener. The Baffert-trained filly missed as the choice last time out but earned a better than par figure in the process and with another forward move should be along in time. We’ll also toss in Iconic Sprint. She’s had a good foundation of three sprints under her belt and should be set to stretch out and improve big time for Sadler. Additionally, she acts like a filly that’ll enjoy a distance of ground.
The Saturday program is excellent with a number of interesting stakes races and several price opportunities. As this is written, it is unknown which, if any, races will be contested on turf.
In the opener, Sassy Suances looks cranked up and ready to roll in her first start in more than a year and from her outside post the Vienna-trained filly looks quite capable of controlling this race from start to finish. We like her as a straight play and rolling exotic single, regardless of surface.
A carryover of $55,831 awaits Pick-6 players on a competitive Friday program.
In the opener, Won Won Oh Five looks well spotted for a big effort; the Dollase-trained colt is thoroughly genuine and consistent and retains Talamo, who knows him well. We’re expecting this son of Lawyer Ron to produce the last run. Tiz Dynamic just edged ‘Five when they met here late last month when pressing a soft pace; he has to be given a chance right back. Both should be used in rolling exotic play.
