MARTIN GARCIA, UP IN TIME, WINNER: “The race set up perfect. She’s a good filly and she took me to where I wanted to be. I wanted to get the jump on the other horses, and that’s exactly what happened. When I asked her she just took off. I’m very lucky to ride for Simon Callaghan because he doesn’t ride that many jocks, just the lucky ones I guess.”

SIMON CALLAGHAN, UP IN TIME, WINNER, AND IMPERIALISTIC DIVA, FOURTH: “She (Up In Time) had a good trip and she was traveling so easily through the race. She was a little handier on the pace than I expected she’d be, but she stayed on well and it was a good performance. She (Imperialistic Diva) ran well at big odds (42-1). She’s a really nice filly and she’s only going to improve so I’m very happy with her.
“I left it to him (Martin Garcia on Up In Time). She’s a very strong-traveling filly. I just said try and get her relaxed and left it to him. He’s ridden her a few times (twice).”
