JOEL ROSARIO, ST TRINIANS, WINNER: “The last time I rode her, she won so easy and she was very impressive today. She gets low to the ground and she tries really hard. I don’t know how good she is.”

MIKE MITCHELL, ST TRINIANS, WINNER: “No, I wasn’t concerned (when she was fourth behind the leaders down the backstretch). I didn’t tell Joel (Rosario) anything. He knows how to ride these synthetic tracks. He made the lead going 71/2 (furlongs). He decided to do that. It’s not me telling him how to do it. It’s just Joel. I wasn’t surprised at how she drew off. She’s just been training so good. I told my boy (exercise rider) to blow her out in 14 (1:14) the other day and she went in 12 and change and she did it easy. She couldn’t have been training any better.”
Asked what might be next: “We got this one out of the way. We’ll sit down with the owners and make a plan.”

NOTES: The winning owners are Dan Capen of Manhatten Beach and Laura Chavers of Marina del Rey.
