SANTA ANITA TO HOST SPECIAL EVENTS MIXER, PUBLIC INVITED TO FESTIVE CONFAB SEPTEMBER 21
The public is invited to this trade show which will attract many of Southern California’s top special events professionals and will be held in Santa Anita’s Sirona Grill, which overlooks its picturesque Paddock Gardens area. Guided tours of Santa Anita will be offered throughout the event.
High-end restaurants and caterers will be placed throughout the Paddock Gardens and will provide those attending with world class fare, at no additional cost. Service bars will provide refreshments, including beer and wine, at competitive prices.
“We’re excited to be hosting this event for the first time,” said Santa Anita’s Community and Special Events Coordinator Pete Siberell. “This is a great opportunity for ‘Special Eventers’ and people from all walks of life to exchange business cards and network with professionals from throughout Southern California. The folks from ISES love our venue and they’re excited about coming to Santa Anita.
“They’ve staged this event elsewhere in recent years and they like the fact that Santa Anita provides them a fresh alternative in catering services for groups of all kinds. We’ll be able to provide complete catering and beverage service, full-scale event planning and coordination, staffing and valet parking. Our Paddock Gardens area is particularly appealing to them and that, coupled with Santa Anita’s timeless architecture and views that include the San Gabriel Mountains, made us a very logical choice for them this year.”
Many organizations will be conducting trade displays, including ISES chapters from Orange County and San Diego, Meeting Professional International (MPI) Southern California, Wedding Industry Professionals Association, Association of Bridal Consultants, Set Decorators Society of America, Hospitality Sales and the Marketing Association International.
Attendees are encouraged to enter Santa Anita at Gate 3, which is at Holly Ave. and Huntington Drive in Arcadia. For more information and trade organization registration information, visit www.ises-la.com.
Those wishing to attend are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Admission cost is $40.00 for students, ISES and Allied member and non-profit members. Non-members will be admitted for $50.00. Those registering after Aug. 24 will be admitted for $65.00.
Live horseracing returns to Santa Anita Park on Sept. 29, with the opening of the Oak Tree at Santa Anita meeting.
