SANTA ANITA TO OFFER PLAYERS NEW CARRYOVER GRAPHIC TODAY, FAN-FRIENDLY DISPLAY TO BE VISIBLE CONTINUOUSLY DURING LAST RACE POST PARADE

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2013)—Beginning today, Santa Anita will offer players updated information on horses that are not covered in the final race of the Pick Six, via the track’s simulcast signal.

This information will be delineated graphically and will clearly “flag” players’ attention as to which horse or horses could cause a carryover should they win.

Unlike Santa Anita’s Will-Pay graphics, which have and will continue rotate throughout the course of the post parade, the new “carryover” graphic will be in place throughout the odds display that is up for that race, from the time the previous race is official until the running of the final race in the Pick Six.

Software is currently being created to provide the same real-time carryover information for each day’s 50-cent Pick 5, and this information will be in-place at Santa Anita this weekend. The Pick 5 is available on the first five races each day.

There is a massive Pick Six carryover today at Santa Anita of $575,466, and it is expected the total pool today could exceed $3 million.

First post time is at 1 p.m. The Pick Six will comprise races three through eight. Third race post time today is 2:03 p.m.
