ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2012)—The popular 626 Night Market returns for its third event this fall at its new home at Santa Anita Park for two consecutive nights on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m., and on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free of charge and the events will be staged in Santa Anita’s spacious infield area.

On both nights, the largest Asian night market in America will feature Asian street foods and a bevy of local businesses and new entrepreneurs. The 626 Night Market aims to entertain people of all ages and will feature Live DJs, a dance floor, performance artists and games.

The most recent 626 Night Market, which was held this past July in Pasadena, attracted a crowd estimated at 40,000.

“We are very excited to be hosting this event and we look forward to welcoming an entirely new group of folks to Santa Anita,” said Mark Verge, Santa Anita CEO. “The 626 Night Market team realizes we’re a perfect venue for them and we are honored to be in a position to welcome and accommodate them. This is a great opportunity for all of us and we are going to do everything we need to do to ensure that those who come here will have a great experience.”

Santa Anita’s infield parking lot, which can be accessed by entering at Gate 6, off of Colorado Place on Santa Anita’s northern perimeter, can comfortably accommodate 10,000 vehicles.

“The 626 Night Market team is working closely with the City of Arcadia and Santa Anita Park to make the two-night cultural experience smooth and enjoyable for our patrons,” said Jonny Hwang, 626 Night Market organizer. “The 626 Night Market is currently accepting vendor applications and is proud to be a community platform for many first-time local entrepreneurs who are pursuing their dream of running a business.”

Santa Anita’s 24-day Autumn Meet will begin on Friday, Sept. 28 and will run through Sunday, Nov. 4. The two-day Breeders’ Cup World Championships will be hosted by Santa Anita on Nov. 2 & 3.
