SANTA ANITA TO HOST 10TH ANNUAL SUNSHINE MILLIONS, INFIELD FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL OFFERS 50 VENDORS, MISS SUNSHINE MILLIONS PAGEANT, CALIFORNIA CRAFT BEERS AND SHINY TOY GUNS TO ENTERTAIN

ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 21, 2012)—Santa Anita Park will present its 10th annual Sunshine Millions Day on Saturday, Jan. 28, with a California Food Truck Festival, California Craft beers, a Miss Sunshine Millions Bikini Contest and live entertainment by Shiny Toy Guns, DJ Set Feat, Jeremy Dawson and Carah Faye all heading up an action-packed entertainment offering in the track’s spacious infield area.

“With everything we have going on, this is going to be a mega-California Food Truck Festival,” said Santa Anita’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing Chris Quinn. “Entry to the Festival is free with General Admission to the track, which is only five dollars and there’s going to be something for everyone.

“As we’ve seen over the past year, these food truck festivals attract a very loyal group of fans and we think they’re going to like the various entertainment options we’re providing, including of course, some fantastic Sunshine Millions racing. The trucks that we’ve established relationships with consider Santa Anita their home turf and they love spending the day with our fans.

“We’ve got an early first post time (12 noon) that day and we’re also going to be offering a LUCK Pick Six early in the card, so we’ll get the day off to a fast start.”

Among the many prominent food trucks that are scheduled to be represented are The Grilled Cheese Truck, the Lobsta Truck, Ragin Cajun, Nom Nom Truck, White Rabbit and many more.

In addition to the LUCK Pick Six, which features a one dollar minimum wager, a guaranteed $250,000 pool with a mandatory payout, and is intended to promote HBO’s highly anticipated premier of LUCK on Jan. 29, other LUCK themed activities are planned throughout the track.

A number of actors involved in the series will be making trophy presentations throughout the day and Santa Anita will also unveil its LUCK Lounge on the main floor of the grandstand.

A free Santa Anita folding beach chair will be available with paid admission to the first 12,000 Santa Anita Thoroughbreds members.
