47th Annual Ceremony Held in Louisville, KY on Saturday

Arcadia, CA, August 1 -- HRTV (R) was honored with nine 2011 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards at the 47th annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award ceremony on Saturday, July 30 at the Seelbach Hilton in Louisville, KY. The Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards encompass Kentucky.

HRTV received Emmy Awards in seven separate categories, with the network's acclaimed monthly "Inside Information" documentary show, accounting for seven Emmys, all for individual episodes. (In June, the network has received twelve Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences of the Ohio Valley.)

In two categories, HRTV received more than one nomination and it accepted two awards.

The winning submissions were:

  • Human Interest Program: "Inside Information: Randy Romero."
  • Sports Program Feature Segment: "Inside Information: Joe Torre, Safe at Home."
  • Sports One-Time Special (2 winners): "Inside Information: "Well Armed" & "Inside Information: Tevis Cup."
  • Nostalgia Program (2 winners): Inside Information: 31 Lengths, The Lives of Secretariat: Penny Penny Chenery & "Inside Information:31 Lengths, The Lives of Secretariat: Ron Turcotte"
  • Writer - Program: Amy Zimmerman for Swale
  • Photographer - Program: Jose "Chile" Ibarra for a composite of work
  • Editor - Program: Steve Scheidler for a composite of work

    In 2009, HRTV was honored with an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award in the "Sports - One-Time Special" category for its "Inside Information: Dubai World Cup" show.
