HRTV TO PROVIDE IN-DEPTH OAK TREE COVERAGE, CAL CUP POST DRAW TO BE SHOWN LIVE SEPT. 30

ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 24, 2009)—The Oak Tree Racing Association has announced that HorseRacing TV (HRTV) will provide, on a non-exclusive basis, live on-site daily coverage throughout the six-week Oak Tree at Santa Anita meeting, which begins Wednesday, Sept. 30.

HRTV was launched on Jan. 1, 2003, and this meet will mark the first time the network has carried live racing from Oak Tree. HRTV currently covers racing across North America and around the world.

HRTV’s live coverage at Oak Tree will include the California Cup post position draw on Sept. 30, in-depth advance coverage of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships Nov. 6 & 7, and will continue through closing day, Nov. 8.

“We are pleased to be able to make this announcement at this time,” said Oak Tee Director and Executive Vice President Sherwood Chillingworth. “The New York Racing Association made the decision earlier this year to move away from exclusivity as regards their live racing product and we agree with that.

“We firmly believe our fans and the industry are going to be better served with the addition of HRTV as Oak Tree’s non-exclusive television partner.”

HRTV will provide viewers with expert analysis, pre and post race interviews, Trevor Denman’s live calls and a nightly replay show at a time to be determined.

HRTV’s opening day coverage will begin at 7 a.m. P.D.T. on Sept. 30. First post time on opening day is 1 p.m. P.D.T.
