FIRST POST TIME FOR A 10-RACE PROGRAM SATURDAY IS AT 1 P.M.; AVERAGE PICK SIX FIELD SIZE FOR SATURDAY JUST UNDER 10 HORSES PER RACE

ARCADIA, Calif. (June 16, 2017)–With 20-1 longshot Pure Perfection finishing on top in Friday’s eighth race, the final two legs in Santa Anita’s popular Pick Six were, for most all intents and purposes, rendered irrelevant, as the die was cast for a hefty two-day Pick Six carryover into Saturday of $230,886.  With a 10-race card on tap Saturday and average field size in the Pick Six just under 10 runners per race, track officials project Saturday’s total Pick Six pool should approach $1 million.

With a carryover from Sunday of $99,008 to shoot at, players wagered $246,857 in “new money” Friday, creating a total Pick Six pool of $345,865.

First post time at Santa Anita on Saturday is at 1 p.m.  Approximate post time for leg one in the Pick Six, race five, is at 3:03 p.m. PT.  Admission gates will open at 11 a.m.
