SANTA ANITA TO PRESENT AN 11-RACE CLOSING DAY PROGRAM ON SUNDAY, HEADED BY THE GRADE III AUTUMN MISS STAKES AT FLAT MILE ON TURF; MANDATORY PAYOUTS ON ALL EXOTIC WAGERS

19-DAY AUTUMN MEET DRAWS TO A CLOSE WITH WINTER MEET SET TO OPEN ON DEC. 26

 

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 26, 2017)–Santa Anita’s 19-day Autumn Meet will draw to a close on Sunday with an 11-race program and special early first post of 12:15 p.m., making both Saturday and Sunday’s programs identical by number of races and start time.

Sunday’s program will be highlighted by the Grade III, $100,000 Autumn Miss Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at one mile on turf.  The Autumn Miss, which has been slotted as the ninth race, is in a key position for players in both the $500,000 guaranteed Late Pick Four and $100,000 guaranteed Pick Six.  (There are 16 horses currently entered, with 14 eligible to run in the Autumn Miss).

Following this Sunday, live racing will resume at Santa Anita with opening day of the track’s traditional Winter Meet, on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
