SANTA ANITA RAINBOW PICK SIX JACKPOT CARRYOVER OF $403,214 INTO SATURDAY; 13 WINNING TICKETS TODAY EACH WORTH $6,957.50

RAINBOW SIX FIELD SIZE FOR SATURDAY AT 10.3 HORSES PER RACE

 

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 12, 2018)–With a 10-race card on tap, there is a 20 cent Rainbow Pick Six Jackpot carryover of $403,214 heading into Saturday at Santa Anita.

With a Jackpot carryover of $364,450.75 up for grabs today, there was $169,305 in “new money” wagered into the Rainbow Six pool, which helped to create a payoff of $6,957.50 on 13 winning tickets with all six winners.

The $100,000 California Distaff Handicap, for fillies and mares three and up bred or sired in California, will serve as Saturday’s main event.  Previously contested at 6 ½ furlongs down the hillside turf course, the Distaff will be run for the first time tomorrow at five furlongs on turf.  The eighth of 10 races and leg four in the Rainbow Six, the Distaff has attracted a field of 11, with Nick Alexander’s S Y Sky installed at the 5-2 morning line favorite with Joe Talamo.

With 62 horses entered and eligible to run in Saturday’s Rainbow Pick Six, field size stands at 10.3 runners per race.
