SANTA ANITA PARK TO AGAIN UTILIZE 72-HOUR VIDEO SURVEILLANCE ON ALL HORSES ENGAGED TO RUN IN BOTH GRADE I SANTA ANITA DERBY & GRADE I SANTA ANITA OAKS ON APRIL 4

 

ARCADIA, Calif. (March 25, 2015)–Santa Anita Park has announced that it will again utilize 72-hour video surveillance of all horses engaged to run in both the Grade I, $1 million Santa Anita Derby and Grade I, $400,000 Santa Anita Oaks on April 4.

The Santa Anita Derby, to be run for the 78th time, has produced a total of 17 Kentucky Derby winners, including two out of the last three; I’ll Have Another in 2012, and eventual Horse of the Year, California Chrome, last year.

Entries for both the Santa Anita Derby and Santa Anita Oaks will be taken on Wednesday, April 1.
