ROOD & RIDDLE BREEDERS’ CUP POST-POSITION DRAW TO BE SHOWN LIVE ON BREEDERSCUP.COM ON MONDAY

 

ARCADIA, Calif. (October 30, 2016) – The Rood & Riddle Breeders’ Cup Post-Position Draw for the 33rd Breeders’ Cup World Championships will be streamed live on www.breederscup.com on Monday, October 31 beginning at 4:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT.

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships, consisting of 13 Grade 1 races with purses and awards totaling $28 million, will be held at Santa Anita Park on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5.

The live stream, which also be shown on www.santaanita.com , www.drf.com, and the Breeders’ Cup Facebook page, will be hosted by Laffit Pincay III of NBC Sports Group.

The Rood & Riddle Post-Position Draw will be conducted in two sessions. The first session, starting at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET, will be held at Top O’ The Stretch at Santa Anita Park. The following 11 races will be drawn: $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf; $1 million Las Vegas Breeders’ Cup  Dirt Mile; $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf; $2 million 14 Hands Winery Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies; $2 million Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf; $1.5 million TwinSpires Breeders’ Cup Sprint; $1 million Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint; $2 million Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Juvenile; $4 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf; $1 million Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint and the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Mile.

The second session of the Rood & Riddle Breeders’ Cup Post-Position Draw will commence at 4 p.m. PT/7:00 p.m. ET in the Chandelier Room at Santa Anita with the $2 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff and the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic.
