ARCADIA, Calif. (May 19, 2018)–With 10-1 longshot Ky. Colonel flashing home on top with Drayden Van Dyke in Saturday’s 12th and final race, Santa Anita’s popular Single Ticket Pick Six Jackpot was hit on one lucky ticket worth $714,919.60.
With an on-track Preakness Day crowd of 23,428 contributing to an overall pari-mutuel handle of $20,030,222, Pick Six wagering was also robust. With a Single Ticket Pick Six Jackpot carryover coming into today of $515,662 and $307,156 in “new” Pick Six money, Saturday’s total Pick Six pool reached $822,818.
There were 23 consolation Pick Six tickets, each worth $1,528.80.
Information on the location and purchase price of the winning ticket was unavailable at press time, but more information will be forthcoming tomorrow.
Saturday’s winning Pick Six numbers were 1, 5, 8, 12, 3 & 6.
First post time for a nine-race card is at 12:30 p.m. and the Pick Six will be comprised of races four through nine. Approximate post time for Sunday’s fourth race is at 2:09 p.m. PT.
Sunday’s main event is the $100,000 Crystal Water Stakes for California-bred or sired horses three and up. The Crystal Water has been carded the ninth and final race on the program.
