Arcadia, CA, June 5, 2014 — HRTV (R), The Network for Horse Sports, has received seven 2014 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences of the Ohio Valley.

The 50th annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards ceremony is slated for Saturday, August 2 at the Hilton Columbus Downtown in Columbus, OH.

This year, HRTV received two nominations in the “Sports – One-Time Special” category, both from its award-winning documentary show, “Inside Information.” Two episodes, “Inside Information: Dancer’s Image,” and “Inside Information: The Rivalry, Part 1,” were acknowledged.

The network gained recognition in three other “Program” categories: “HRTV Presents: Saratoga WarHorse” (Military), “The Big Cats of Carson Springs” (Human Interest), and “Shania: The Love of Horses” (Arts/Entertainment).

The network’s Steve Scheidler was again nominated in two categories — “Editor – Program” and “Graphic Arts.”

This year’s nominations bring the network’s total to 35 in its short history. The network has won Regional Emmys in the “Sports – One Time Special” category for the past three years, and four out of the last five.

HRTV was honored with two 2013 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards in the “Sports – One Time Special” (“Garrett Gomez: 180 Days,” which was produced by Turn Left productions, in association with HRTV) and in the “Editor – Program” (Steve Scheidler) category.

In all, HRTV has received 13 Ohio Valley Regional Emmys in its history. HRTV was first nominated, and won, an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award in 2009.
