CARRYOVER OF $536,918 FROM MONDAY FUELS $2.8 MILLION IN ‘NEW’ PICK SIX MONEY
ARCADIA, Calif. (July 4, 2017)–With a carryover of $536,918 serving as an ample pari-mutuel stimulant, a whopping $2,857,525 in “new” Pick Six money cascaded into today’s closing day pool at Santa Anita, creating a massive total Pick Six kitty of $3,394,443. With average field size in today’s Pick Six sequence at just under 10 horses per race, longshots were the order of the day, resulting in five winning tickets that each paid $478,128. There were 355 consolation tickets with five winners, returning $922.00 each.
Tuesday’s Pick Six was comprised of races five through 10 and not a single post time favorite graced the Winner’s Circle. Here is a brief summation of all winners in the closing day Pick Six:
