Rule by Force cuts back from a route to a sprint and won the last time he sprinted, at this distance 3 back, in a little 38K stakes at Turf Paradise in October. Now with a 13 for 37 career record and over $230K in earnings, this hard knocking Gelding just needs to repeat his most recent effort when 3rd and beaten under a length in another little Turf Paradise stakes at a mile to be successful here. Los Bomberos goes for his 3rd win in a row, both coming since the Glatt claim and the most recent victory with Nakatani in the saddle as today, here at SA on ½. He steps up a bit but with the ability to win on the lead or from just off the pace and in his current form he’s got a decent shot of keeping his current winning streak intact. Full Instinct won his last start, on 12/15, when returning from 11 months off, so he could be even stronger in his 2nd off the layoff, particularly with Rosario in the saddle, and noting that although he beat OPEN (not Statebred only) maidens last out he is moving to this Statebred NW1X level instead of the open level, which could result in another big race.
